Running Club

Theater Club

The Theatre Club is a club dedicated to acting, dancing and singing.  Rehearsals take place twice a week after school and once a week during recess.  Students sing a solo and learn a short dance routine to audition for the club.  The fall Theatre Club is open to 4th and 5th graders.  The spring Theatre Club is open to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

Instruction is provided by the music teacher and teaching artists from the National Asian Artists Project.

Through theater arts, our students have learned valuable lessons about persistence, team work, and best of all, appreciation for theater and performing arts!

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

At PS 124, extra curricular activities provide students rich opportunities to engage in the performing arts, sports, and visual arts.

RUNNING Club

Each fall and spring, a team of dedicated PS 124 staff members organize and facilitate a running club consisting of nearly 80 fourth and fifth graders!  Our kids are thrilled to be exercising and there is no better way than to take advantage of our own two legs and the amazing access we have to the Manhattan Bridge pedestrian walkway!

art Club

Each winter and spring, art teacher, Ms. Riley offers a special art club to upper grade students during recess.  Students learn to extend their creativity to work on projects such as school murals.

Harmony

Students participate in vigorous musical instructions which involves performing with the violin, cello and viola.
